When I was born, my mom didn’t have a clue what she was doing, and she turned to the internet for help. But so much of the information out there is confusing, contradictory, and based more on trends and opinion than actual fact. Mom is a scientist (and I’m an IVF baby so about as sciencey as I can be for now!), so she worked hard to sift through all the misinformation. We started sharing fun baby facts and evidence-based parenting guidance on our social platforms in 2023, and it turns out you all enjoy a bit of clarity too! So we started this site, as a more permanent home for our researching efforts.
We always love hearing from you, so send us your thoughts and suggestions for new articles.
…or Leila, to my friends!
Before I became a mom to this wonderful, uncannily intelligent baby, I was a scientist, earning my degree and and PhD from the University of Oxford. Since then, I’ve worked for NASA, trained as a teacher (before realising that I’m not brave enough to face a room full of children every day), and have worked in factual media production for the last 10 years. I’m now a writer and producer and somehow still a full time mom!
